One day while passing time in the kitchen I was watching a show I like with a host I hate good old Diners, Drive ins and Dives. They are visiting Minnesota and there is a bout between two restaurants as to who invented the jucy lucy. So I decided to enter my own contestant into the ring of THE CHEESE STUFFED BURGER! Personally I’m sure I won.
Lean ground beef
Handful of bread crumbs
Finely chopped onion
Salt and Pepper to taste
Dash of five spice powder
Pinch of chili powder
Cheese in this case Mozzarella
Bun and condiments
Take your ingredients for your pattie and mix them all together using your hands and mix them all together for a nice even feel. The meat should stick to your hands a bit but not to much. If the meat sticks to much add a bit more egg.
To make the pattie form your meat cluster into round balls about the size of a golf ball. Place the Titilest ProV2 balls on the cutting board and press them down into a nice flat patty not too thick, maybe about 1/2″ inch. Remember at this point that you need two patties for each person.
Place a nice slice of cheese on one patty and then take the second patty and place it on top.
Now take your fingers and pinch the sides of the burger patties around the cheese making a really nice thick burger patty.
Ok kids its cooking time. Pre heat your Cast iron skillet on Med to Hi. Place your patties around the pan. Let sizzle for 5 min then flip at this point.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 10 more minutes. After this take the lid off and Place the skillet in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 more minutes, and remove.
Let the burgers sit for a minute off the heat then gently cut into one and make sure its not a bloody mess. Prep your condiments and get that bun jacked. At this point you are good 2 go (g2g).
